| paph light My paph which spiked a new bud about 4 weeks ago has been sitting on the patio getting low light, northern exposure. Is it a bad idea to give it more light now by placing it, facing east which gets about 3-4 hours of bright, screened light? |

| While I advocate leaving a plant to bloom in the same conditions in which it spiked, I don't think it will make a gread deal of difference one way or the other. Why are you considering moving it? Perhaps so you can enjoy the blooms more easily when they come? There's not really any compwlling cultural reason to move it at this time but folks like ot have their blooming orchids where they can enjoy them. I have my Coel Lynda Buckley sitting next to my computer (which is not where it grows) so I can enjoy it. If you do move it make sure you keep it out of any direct light. Cheers,

| No, to give it optimum conditions in which to grow. I'll leave it as is then. Thanks. |
