secondary roots- Vanda

I am using this term for lack of a better one.

One of the Vandas is growing roots all over, including from ,seemingly, dried up existing roots.

Is it normal to have roots from roots?

Should I use more fertilizer?

Thank you.

Pikevi, I think this must be normal cause my vanda is starting to do the same thing! How much do you fertilize, cause I am told vanda's are heavy feeders. Cindy aka flowerchild

Fred, I don't think you have any problems. I don't know a lot, but I would be surprised if any of the experts come on and say differently. My vandas have them, too. My girls are very happy. I believe the better the environment, the more roots. My vandas, now that they are under the tree, are doing a lot of that. There are roots starting on ends that were burned in the sun.

I will be watching this thread for more responses.

Pikevi, I mean. Sorry about that. I just read a thread by Fred about cyms before I read this one.

Perfectly normal, many plants as well as Vanda's have roots that branch out

My vanda is doing the same thing, branching out off roots that looked pretty dry and dead before. It doesn't have as many coming off the upper parts where there are leaves though.
