| Sweet Sugar This isn't what I wanted which was a brassia/brassidium I saw yesterday; looks like a huge spider orchid in purple and white but somebody else got it! And since I never did find exactly what I wanted when looking for a yellow phal, I chose this little bit of sunshine. I absolutely, no way was going home empty handed today! Oncidium - "Sweet Sugar" P.S. Lilly cat approves and Anton, she doesn't want to hear a word out of you! ![]() |

| Hello, just a friendly little visit from the orchid nomenclature police: Sweet Sugar is the registered grex for this plant and therefore appears in caps (as you have correctly done) but not in quotation marks. Like this: Oncidium Sweet Sugar This was the first Onc. I ever bought and the second orchid I ever bought. i've always liked Onc Sweet Sugar eventhough I've never grown these types very well. They are still just as popular today as 10 years ago. In fact at the orchid show I judged last Friday we saw 2. Gotta love the Sweet Sugar!

| Sandra, Love that Burana Beauty. Even though shades of purple are my favorites, I love the red/yellow mix on Catts. Can't wait to see pics of your white and purple lipped Catt next spring. Don't you worry, I'm not going anywhere to far away. I would miss all you guys too much, especially Catt lovers. Just don't tell Fred (Mr. Mini Catt), cuz it might go straight to his head. Will post pics as soon as my blooms open. |
