paph. maudiae 'napa valley'

my paph.maudiae 'napa valley' finally bloomed after 2 mos. in bud........it's my first one and it was well worth the wait, but I digress.....it has two little brown nubs on the inside of the flower...can anyone clue me in on these? here's a pic

I see no 'nubs'

nubs make me think of scale, make sure it isn't that. do the nubs look like they match? symetrical?then they are probably part of the flower structure. are they like shells that can be knocked off? can you knock them off?
