Aclimating my new oncs. to light?

I posted that I bought 3 new oncs. These were in a green house. It has been raining all weekend so I didn't even think of asking in previous post.My other lg. onc. is on the east side of my porch with sun til noon. It has nice light green leaves and appears to ilke it there. the new ones have darker green leaves which makes me believe they are not accustomed to so much light but are all in spike. My question is should I put them on the east side? Or should I start on south side where they will get no direct sun but bright light? I'm leaning toward south but don't trust my newbie judgement enough to decide. They are currently on table in center of porch with just bright light. I just watered well as they were quite dry. I don't want to burn them right out of the gate but I want the spikes to develope well and open. I'm always confused Don't know what I'd do without you guys. Thanks, Gladys

Gladys,
All my Oncidium are on the bench on the East side of my sun room. They
seem to like it here. Leaves are light green and no brown sun spots, so I'm
assuming they are getting the right amount of light. I would think that a
bright southern exposure without direct sun would be fine also. Water well
when almost dry but not completely dry. I'm sure the other members will
add some good info as well. Good luck, I think you're doing fine>
