Mounted Dendrobium

This spring at our annual orchid show I picked up a mounted Denrobium
gonzayak (gonzaleski x miyakii). It's mounted on a piece of bark wood.
I am currently misting or soaking the roots and bark daily during it's
growing period. From what I can find, the parents I believe are "Nobile"
types Dends. Does anybody have any experience with those types as
far as what to do during their winter resting period. Since it is not planted
in a pot, does it have to be watered alittle or can it be left without misting
or watering for an extended period of time?

Tobi

I have several mounted Dens here in Tassie
I soak each one once a week now ( winter ) and in summer I soak twice a week.

Also a daily light misting on the warm days.

Every third soaking i add fertilizer to the water befor I soak the plants.

I do not rest my mounted Dens at all.

Update on new mount..2 wks later..

Thanks Fred. I just didn't know if you treat the "Nobile" types any different
than the "Phal'" types when they are mounted.
