Question Worm tea question

I just received my first bottle of Worm Tea Concentrate from Our Vital Earth. I mixed it according to directions, 1/3 c. per gallon dechlorinated water. It looks awfully weak. I sprayed my partner's miniature roses with it as the had some aphids and resprayed twice more, but the aphids were still there. I've sprayed my orchids twice and will continue to do so at least 3-4 times weekly over the course of the next month to see what effect it has. I'm wondering if it might help to add 1/2-3/4 c. concentrate to gallon of water or does the worm tea just take some time to act as an insecticide? Thanks, Lisa

Lisa, if I may put my 2 cents in here....I've been using the worm tea also. I think it would probably be a good idea to spray your roses with the Bayer Rose & Insecticide spray to begin with to rid the aphids and THEN....continue on with the worm tea. I believe the worm tea's best quality is in aiding in the health and growth of the plants and the added bonus being that, as well, an insecticide. As Jerry mentioned (who introduced the worm tea to us), larger amounts to water are not conclusive. With that said though, I do put larger amounts in the spray bottle compared to the 1/3 cup per gallon when watering.
