lemon juice to clean Phal leaves

i have recently read that lemon juice can be used to clean Phal leaves from accumilating dust that can plug the stomata , and giving them more healthy green shine. i wonder if this is true and if so , should i use full strength lemon juice or dilute it with water . and how often should i clean?

thanks a lot

I use wet, clean paper towel or rag and squeez the juice on it and wipe away. you can also use milk, no dilution needed. My leaves get so shiny and pretty for weeks !!

Lemon juice works on my phals DDS. I dip my fingers in full strength and gently rub. You've better control this way and less chance of damaging the leaves. One recommendation is to probably not do this while it's getting sunlight (presuming, indirect). I am not sure if the orchid guru's here would advise this or not but it's never harmed my plants.

Hi DDS,
I've used a 50% Lemon juice to water. Works great on my Phal, cat and rubber
tree leaves. Bill's right, save the strong stuff for cocktails and salmon filet
