I finally had some time and film on hand to take these pictures. I'm not sure where to put this post though.

The first 2 are of my Harlequin phal that I purchased from HD in early 2006. I couldn't believe my eyes that they actually carried a not so common phal. It's a Bright King Peacock. You can still see the 2 spikes from last year when I bought it. This year, it put out 1 spike for me with 4 measly flowers, but out the blue, one more bud appeared really late. It must really like me.

The dendrobium is my B'day gift from my parents. No idea about its ID but it had green flowers which finally fell off but I never had the time to cut the stem. There is also growing a baby cane at the bottom.

Frequently the first time I rebloom a plant, the bloom is usually not as good, then if i rebloom it again it starts to get better. It always seems to me that a plant takes a year or so to acclimate to my conditions. Usually they skip a bloom cycle and don't put out for me until the second year I have them.

I bet your blooms will be better next year.

I really quite like harlequin Phals. The breeding has greatly improved these past 5 or so years.
