| Dend lawesii
I have 2 of these miniatures, and a question hopefully that someone can answer. I have recently put them in a terrarium and they are doing fabulous. One is blooming (2 different spikes) but the other has produced about 3 small keikis in the last few weeks. Should I leave these on the mother plant--they a fairly tiny, approx 1/2 to 1 cm in size however, several have a full set of roots. I would like to see more blooms. Could it be too humid? Currently about 80% humidity.

I don't grow this particular Den but I would leave the keikis on the plant. The bigger the overall plant...the better future blooms will be. As to the humidity...lawesii likes a lot of moisture so 80% humidity is not going to be a problem provided the roots aren't kept in soggy conditions. Moist - yes...soggy - no.

Thanks for the prompt response. I visit this forum alot, but have never posted before. I did look at the AOS culture sheets, helpful overall, but doesn't specifiably address humidity. I think I'll just watch them for a bit. I heard, in general, that if the watering conditions weren't right, they would tend to form keikis and not blooms. I just thought it was interesting one is blooming and the other forming masses of keikis.

![]() I'd say you're growing them right if the one is blooming for you.
