| Lighting question
I have my Phals in a window that recieves about 500 to 1500 foot candles of light depending on the day. I purchased a 7w LED grow bulb, and have that above the plants. My question is if I am getting say 1000 fc of light from the window, does the LED light add to the total light hitting the plants? Say the bulb put out 600 fc, would the plants be getting 1600 fc of light? Dale  |

Technically, yes - light intensities are additive. However, a 7W bulb will put out about 600 lumens right at the bulb, so the foot-candles (lumens per square foot) reaching the plant will be far less than that.
