Cymbidium Help?

I have a Cymbidium Spike really shooting OUT! What would you do let it go
Random or would you try to stake it?
Right now I have another Spike coming out on the other side of the bulb.

Some are pendulous and the spikes will go out and then down. If it's a pendulous...let it go.

If it's not a pendulous, then I would try to stake it upwards...if I could.

Yours looks like a pendulous variety from the pic you are showing. I'd let it go. Mine are doing the same thing right now, so they will be hung from my trees in the next couple of weeks.

Geeze... I don't envy you, having to deal with that kind of cold. We'll be getting some "frost" but the cymbidiums can take it here. Just not too much. Usually not below 30 degrees and it doesn't last long. Cymbidiums are pretty hardy though. I've been surprised at times what they can take.

It looks like the flowers on the spike are starting to separate in preparation to opening. I would not try to stake the spike at this point as it might break the spike and you would lose the flowers.
