They look great Ron. Just a minor, quick correction about the "formosana" name: formosana is a sub-species, not a variety so: Phal. aphrodite subsp. formosana.

I do not want to start a flame war, so much controversity over amabilis and aphrodite at the moment. Will say no more but would love to write the correct name!

I know there is a great deal of confusion over the difference between Phal amabalis and aphrodite. There are small although distinct differences between the two though which Eric Christenson outlines in his phalaenopsis monograph. The difficulty, for other members who might be interested, if I understand it correctly, is that the two are rumored to have been inter-bred in a messed-up line breeding. Honestly I have not followed this particular squabble as closely as I probably should have. We're starting to see these show up here in Australia although it has been around for more than a decade in America. I even had one when I still lived there. Truth be told, regardless of what it actually is (and I wold like to know definitively, though I accept the possibility that might be impossible) IMHO it is one of the most sublime little white phals ever. If I could grow them well I'd have about a dozen of them. I think they're lovely to the extreme.

Thanks Kevin! I for one just love them and now have about 6 different named clones plus some nice ones from a couple of flasks of seedling. Even as a house plant, they are proving to be very popular. Cheerio
