Question My New Little DEN NOID

Hi guys,

You may remember the little Den NOID my husby bought me on Black Friday. Well, I have a question about it.

After I brought it home, several buds blasted, which I attributed to a drastic change in environment. Two buds tried to open, but they got stuck partially open. I carefully opened them up and they are almost as cute as the bloom that was open when I got the plant. Now, the plant has three more buds that just aren't opening. They don't look like they are blasting, but they're just sitting there.

Is it normal for Den buds to take forever to open? Or is it possible they, like the other two, are stuck closed?

Yes, it can take a good long time for the blooms to open. Look carefully at the color of the outside of the blooms. If the color looks the same as the open ones did, or if it has not changed in tone, then the chances are that the bloom is just developing slowly. I'd be surprised if all the blooms were "stuck". Did the stuck blooms seem grown together? or did they have some substance gluing their parts together?

One of the stuck blooms had two petals that were fused together, which caused it to remain closed. the other just didn't open all the way. It kind of looked like a tulip.

The remaining buds look good as far as I can tell. I guess I'll just wait and see.

Thanks!

My last den NOID that bloomed took what felt like moooonths for the buds to open - even when I was thinking "they're so big, for sure they'll be open tomorrow morning.." Nope. Patience....

Mine, too. Even after the buds took on the color that they were eventually going to be, they still took a looooong time to open.
