Is this worth potting?

I just divided one of my Catts. It was going over the pot and mostly because I have notice fungus in the medium...
It grew tons of new roots and many new growths in the past year since I repotted last time, so I couldn't find a pot big enough to pot it. I had to chop a piece off. Here are some pictures of the cut piece..Do you think it's worth potting it. I don't see many (if any) good roots, or any new growth forming on it......

Pot those up. Heck, it can't to anything worse than die. You might wrap those roots in sphag for awhile and let them grow longer then pot them in your usual potting material.

I would too. It might take a little while to start growing again but I doubt that piece has had it.

wow, compared to my first orchids (which i got this time last year), yours have amazing roots, a lot of mine didnt have a single gosh darned one, and all it meant was watering a bit more often. oh and did i mention that now 3 of those orchids have sheaths (catt.'s)

so repot it and as Hummer said, the worst thing it can do is die .

and i have gotten so many nearly dead orchids, everyone knows that i dont have the largest collection so i can give the some tlc and they come up fine as soon as the new growing season comes (new shoots = new roots)

I'd put it into an empty pot and water periodically if/until something happens. But I freely admit I'm lazy and I hate potting/repotting.

But definitely don't toss it, if it grows, you've got something to trade.

I'd definintely pot it up. I had a large Slc. Miyuki Little King, my very first orchid. it is a reliable bloomer but my cats have chewed the heck out of it. It was growing in S/H and I decided to repot it. Pulling it out , it divided itself. One section had much better roots than the other section but I potted them both up anyway. That was early this summer. They now both have 2 new growths, and the one with the better roots has buds! The other growths haven't reached that point yet so I could still get more buds. So gosh yes, go ahead and pot it up.

Wow it's anonymous! Thank you everyone!
I feel ...I guess I was not sure because the way this piece looked compare to the other bigger one. But now when I finally think about it ( ), this orchid was the champ in growing roots and growths. Maybe there is some potency left in this smaller piece as well.
If it's ever to grow roots and growth, that's what will be for grabs or trade..
