Cattleya Dying !!!

I think my cattleya is going to die!!! The pseudobulbs are wrinkly and some of the smallest leaves are wrinkly too... I think the roots are rotten... What should I do !!!????

Sorry for the bad quality of the photos .. my camera didn;t have batteries so I had to use my ipod.

I don't think your catt is dying But that is some nasty looking medium.

1. Healthy roots should be firm and not soft and mushy.

2. the pbulbs on some catts is normal to be a little wrinkled. The smallest leaves are the oldest.

If it was mine. I would trim off the dead roots and pot up in a fresh chunky mix in a clay pot. Here is a culture sheet to help you.

I agree with Sunshine. The leaves and stems look alright, but it's definitely time for a good repotting in fresh medium.

If you find that the roots are in bad shape (if they're dead, they'll feel hollow), keep the humidity high, but keep the plant dry-ish at the roots until you start to see new roots strike, at which point you can resume normal watering.

It doesn't look like it's in terrible shape just yet, so I think you'll be fine.

not dying in my opinion either. Have a look at the latest psudobulb and you can see it looks like it is getting bigger than the last ones. Sure sign of positive progression.
