HELP: Important Rules for Leafless Orchids?

Hi all,
ive come across mention that you shouldn't spray pesticides on leafless orchids, a couple of times.
so i was wondering if there were any other rules to follow for leafless orchids

(I have a Chiloschista usnoides if your wondering)

It's all roots... why would you need to spray it with pesticides?

Exactly. Nothing ever bothered mine. No leaves to munch so no reason to spray.

well thats what i was thinking, but just incase it got a bit when i sprayed the others?

plus if i can grow one of these, i am DEFINITELY GETTING MORE, no bugs because no leaves, no root rot because they need to be mounted, and it wouldnt be able to get rot or anything like that on its leaves because it doesn't have any, plus they are really cool

Hey Dan, i got it from Woolf Orchid Nursery in Toowoomba, they came to one of my society meetings to talk about yellow Onc's and breifly on some of their care, and their effects in breeding, and what kind they were trying to achieve, so i sent them an email a week or two before the meeting and asked them if they could bring down a couple of plants for me, this being one of them.

i believe sheoak is just an Australian tree, which is why you wouldn't have heard of it

also i have heard willow mentioned a couple of times, i just can't remember if it was good or bad

I honestly find cork to be the best mount. I don't know why but they seem to love it.

Very interesting plant, Michael. I am one to usually go for the offbeat and unusual. But not so much with orchids Iguess. I hope it has beautiful blooms for you. It sure looks healthy.
Cheers,
Tony
