Cutting orchids leaves ? What happens after?

When you are forced to cut one or two of your orchids (phals) leaves due to either bad sunburn or fungus (not sure yet which one was it), what happens to the rest of the orchid?
I had to cut one leave of my orchid after letting it out the whole morning out without any protection. When I brought it inside it had one brown big spot on one leave and another small on another leave. The big one kept growing so I cut it. The small one didn't change in size but because it was on one side of the leave it was thinning too much so I decided to cut it as well. The orchid has three more leaves and one little one growing.
Here is a picture of the orchid that I had to cut the two leaves. This picture was taken after the first leave was cut. The second leave on the right was the other one that I had to cut.

You shouldn't cut for sunburn.... it is my experience that the dead part will fall on it's own and the live part will continue as it always did.
For fungal infection I first sterilize the scissors, cut in the green part and then cauterize the wound with cinnamon. I also make double effort to keep the foliage dry for a few weeks until scarification just to be on the safe side.

Well, after removing the one leaf because of the infection that was spreading, I probably would have left the other leaf alone.

I think nothing will change on those leaves (I hope) so they will be that way until they get to the bottom and die off naturally. If the cut starts turning black or dying back more - then you will need to sterilize and cut again - and put cinnamon on the cut - because the bacteria either got in where you cut or it was below the cut last time.

The new leaves growing will cover up the cut leaves and it will look much better in time.

Now all to do is give it good care - watch the new leaves grow and keep an eye out for a spike!

Dendian: had to do it. Where the brown spot was, almost in the middle of the leaf to the edge, had made the leaf bend at almost 90 degress and it felt very thin to the touch.

Mira-Claude: I'm not sure as of today if it was sunburn or fungal infection, but on one of the leaf the brown spot kept growing towards the crown so I did like you say, cut it and apply cinnamon.

Please see the pictures that I'm attaching. This is anothe one that I put out in the morning sun and that got burned. Should I cut this leaf too?

I would just keep watch.
If it grows of spread cut ASAP. If it stays the same, leave it be. The plant will scar slowly and peacefully and one day you'll just have to touch the now dead part for it to fall. Happened a lot here with fallen plants over the heater and once with sunburn.
I hate cutting into live tissues as it opens a door for infection.
But in the end it is your choice!

No big problem if you cut a leaf off. They grow more.
Of course if you cut too many then there could be a problem.
