| Help me identify - Is this a spike or aerial root?
Can you help me identify?  On the first two picture I see either two spikes or aerial root. On the third one ther is only one.

Those are aerial roots. Roots have that white look and a green rounded tip. Spikes will start out with kind of a mitten look and be green. I have roots that grow straight up like that too.

Yeah, those are roots. The plants look healthy though, spikes will come eventually!

yep, big fat happy plant. and it could start putting out spikes anywhere from october thru february, so you may get something yet.

You can tell they're roots by watering them...especially since they're long enough to have developed velum. When you water them, they will turn green. Spikes won't do that.
