I am looking for instruction on how to grow Solomon Islands native Paphs ie, P.wenthworthianum, P.bougainvillianum and Saskasianum. Please contact me through addresses on website: www.villagenterprises.com

Don't grow any of these, but have Lance Birk's book handy, The Paphiopediulum Grower's Manual. There's more info about altitude and habitat, so you might want to get the book

P. wentworthianum: Looks to be low light, high humidity, never dry out, intermediate to warm, almost even temp all year. There is a comment about 'rest briefly' for flowering, don't know for sure what that means.

P. bougainvillianum: Looks to be the same. Both have a comment about salt sensitivity, and avoiding decomposed mix.

Sounds like you should contact all the commercial establishments that deal in species orchids. I'm sure one would be interested. How about checking with Machiela who just introduced him/herself? Cynthia, Prescott, AZ
