Anyone growing Paph micranthum?

Here's the funny thing...I keep getting smitten by cool-growing orchids. I visited an orchid show last spring and I fell in love with Paph micranthum. I read that this species likes it cool and humid. Anyone growing this? Do you find it to be "pickier" than, say, the average Paph?

I'd say my experience with Paphs only started this year (I did have a NOID paph a couple years ago, I kept it alive but it didn't bloom). Here are the new ones I got this year: Paph Bel Royal, Paph Armeni White, Paph Michael Koopowitz, and Paph Judge Phillips, and they're growing fine. I want to get my first Paph species--I know there are easier species to start with, but I love micranthum!

I too love the look of micranthum. I have not found it available for purchase, otherwise I would own one.

Yup. Both the species and some hybrids.

No, not if you give it the conditions it wants. It goes back to something I often say here: any orchid is easy if you give it the conditions it wants. Any orchid is difficult if oyu don't. I think this applies to people too....

I have seen them for sale at Parksideorchids.com. They have a big selection of paphs.
I have ordered from them, and they are great!
It is on my wishlist, but as K says, got to have the right environment.
