Leaves of Dendrobium

Hello! I recently received a Dendrobium Mother Theresa as a gift.
The leaves are thick and hard, and has a darker than normal shade of green. But the thing is, the leaves are curving downwards instead of the normal sprouting-out leaves you see.
Is that normal? or is there something wrong with the plant?

Thanks!

If you could post some pictures of the plant it would be helpful.

sound normal to me. How the leave bend is not so important, but the colour is important. Odd growth , pencil looking leave, streak yellow, spot black...

Thank you so much. I'm actually using my mobile to browse the forum. As soon as I am home, I'll upload the photo.
And it's kind of bending like the Mcdonalds M logo.
LOL.

There are more than a thousand dendrobium species and thousands of hybrids. They come with an incredibly wide variety of leaf sizes and shapes so dont' assume all dendrobium leaves are "normal sprouting-out leaves." there is no such thing as only one "normal" kind fo dendrobium leaf. There are thousands of different kinds of "normal" den leaves.

But it will be helpful to see the pics though.

i realized what is the problem.

i have to start a new post, instead of clicking on "quick reply".

here are the pictures.
the leave colour is darker, and the leaves are bending rather downwards.
so, is there anything wrong with my den?

thanks!

Your leaves do look dark which is sometimes a sign of too low light levels. The curve of the leaves is perfectly normal for this kind of den. There's nothing wring with the curve n the leaves.

What a beautiful dendrobium! If it's blooming like that I wouldn't worry about the sun at this point. Wait until bloom us over. And kmarch is right, nothing wrong with the leaves.

Its beautiful!! I would move it gradually into higher light/sun. It appears its been in lower light conditions for some time. So gradual into higher light to not burn it.
