Vanda Keiki?

Hello again my orchid friends.

Can someone tell me if this growth on the side of my Vanda is a keiki? It surely looks like a small little Vanda growing on the side!

Thanks for the help.

i have one with 7 keikis and recently bloomed fragrant yellow flowers on 3 different spikes. Dont try to remove it just keep it where it is so u have more blooms on the same plant for a stunning display.

Great! So I should leave it in its place? But as it grows it will get big and make the plant unbalanced...

What is the best practice?

Thanks for all the answers.

Yep, the stem has branched! With monopodial orchids, the usual practice is to just leave the branch attached. It's possible to divide monopodial orchids, and places where they have branched are the easiest places to do that. But since most of the root system is at the base of the plant the new division can be significantly stressed at first. So if the new branch develops a lot of roots, you can separate it, but I'd just leave it in place: you'll get twice as big a show whenever it blooms now!
