Den tobaense and unicum..some questions

Hi everyone,
Mike found a Den tobaense for me a few months ago. Its growing well but it produced 2 buds the blasted shortly afterwards. Same happend also on my Den unicum. I grow them both side by side under lights. My humidity is between the 40's and mid 50's normally. Not this happened during the heat wave we had end of last month early this month my humidity did plumit a bit. Do these require a certin range to not blast their buds? My Den unicum is trying again to kick out some buds so I'm happy but would like them to stick around. Don't know if the tobaense will throw more buds this season but it will help me keep them next time. Not seeing info on the Aos culture sheets for these so any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Emmaye

Maybe the lights were too hot or your mix dried out too much for the tobaense since it prefers to stay moist. Most care sheets tell us they must be raised in 80% humidity to flourish but we make do with less than perfect humidity sometimes buds blast for no reason.

The good news is the tobaense blooms year round from each leaf junction. I don't have a unicum but good luck with it.

My tobaense bloomed earlier this spring. At the time it bloomed I had it indoors under lights. My humidity at the time was 50-60% sometimes higher. the plant is now outdoors and showing new growth. Frustrating when buds blast; I have a masdie species that has blasted at least a dozen buds and for the life of me can't figure out why. Someone suggested more humidity so now I have it outside where the humidity is really high, but the heat is high also. Not sure how it will work out, but I'm willing to try anything to see a bloom on this bugger!

Is your unicum mounted or potted? I grow mine in bright light with some direct sunlight; keep it evenly moist with humidity ranges from 60% + and is currently growing like a weed....

Thanks everyone
I appreciate the info.
@ -K- my unicum is potted. Has some new buds on a different cane further away from the light source and a new growth. Its in a 2" pot. I'm hoping the new buds don't blast also on this cane.
@ Brooke I will move them back from the light they are over a foot from them now when the blast happened but formed under the lights so I thought it was happy there .... I guess not. or it may have been that heat wave we had it got pretty hot inside the house.
This year is strange. Just when I think. Ok put them out side oh nooooo keep them in lol its been one side of the temps to the othere here the inbetween doesn't exist this year.
Thanks Synda! What happened to your uniicum ?
Thanks Edgy I might try like your brother has it set up. So cal is very different than Nor cal as far as themps with humidity. He's got better humidity thre I'm sure
Thanks again everyone
