Bllra. Patricia McCully 'Pacific Matriarch'

I picked up this nice plant today...another flea mkt. find. Looks to be hale and hearty, with 3 bloom spikes. I've read about Beallara online, and apparently they like it probably cooler than I'll be able to accomodate here in FL, so its with us under air at the moment. But, it was growing in a greenhouse here, so maybe it's more tolerant of warm temps then the culture notes mention?
What I'd like to determine is if this is considered an Oncidium alliance or Cymbidium alliance plant?
Thanks for any help or info anyone can shed on this.
Tony

It's an Oncidium Alliance orchid.

Agreed, Oncidium alliance. I have this and Bllra. Tropic Tom 'Pale Face'. They've been holding up pretty well in the heatwave my area of Pennsylvania has been getting, & both of mine came from greenhouses too, one of which I now work at. They're pretty tough plants, enjoy your nice new plant!

Thanks guys, for that info. When I first got into orchids, I didn't care for these intergenetics so much, but they've really 'grown' on me! I like the fact that the plants still look really nice, even when not in bud/bloom. The flowers are so fantastic as to look artifical. There's a lot of confusing and contradictory info out there. One of the books I've been reading, 'Growing Orchids', puts this plant in the Odontoglossum alliance, and states Beallara is heat tolerant and can be grown in the tropics. While much info online states it is intermediate at best, preferring 65-68oF temps.
Again, I appreciate your help and will see how it does in our toasty lanai after blooms are finished. Right now we're enjoying it in our subdued light and air conditioned living room! I'll post some more pics when more of the blooms open.
