Help! Strange leaf spots

My orchid is covered with leaf spots like nothing I've ever seen before. The spots only appear on the upper surface of the leaf. Here's a photo:

Just kidding. It is a strange species that's supposed to look like that. I bought it for the leaves!

Haha, sorry about the bad joke.

The name is...*pulls out label*...Maxillaria pseudorechenheimianum. What a mouthful. I'll show the whole plant tomorrow!

I think you forgot an "i" in there somewhere.

Maxillaria pseudoreichenheimiana <--- This is what I found when I copy/pasted into google.

Where did you buy it? I would buy it just for the foliage.

Oh thanks for pointing that out! Looks like the label's missing an "i" (I think I'll write it on the label since I'm a perfectionist). I got it from Kawamoto Orchids, and it just arrived today. Looks like it has a couple of spikes

LOL. The first thing I thought when I looked at that was I wonder how long it has had those spots because they look like they are supposed to be there. Then I thought you might have sprayed it with some nasty chemical.... until I read further.
