Aliceara Pacific Nova 'Pacific Heights'

I did it again yesterday. HAD TO rescue this plant from drying out and blowing away from the Lowes clearance rack. I know its an intergeneric hybrid coming from the Brassia x Miltonia x Oncidium famiilies, but I'd really appreciate any cultural info anyone could help me with. I assume it is an intermediate/warm grower seeing as it was offered for sale here in FL (?) I've looked online and other than pics of the bloom, can't really find any help at all. Anyone with experience with this one?
Thanks much,
Tony

Sorry Tony but I can't help you with that one , I have a teeny collection so far, so little diversified experience. I can say real quick, I haven't had a chance in a while, working on broke AC, can't even get the time to put my baby Phal on it's new mount. Good luck

Hi Tony. I have a few of those intergenerics, some of them actually came with care sheets for Oncidiums. Perhaps that is a good place to start.

Here ya go Otis

Alcra. Pacific Nova 'Pacific Heights'

Here is a care sheet.

Oncidium & Odontoglossum Orchid Care - Carter and Holmes Orchids Culture

You definitely have a keeper

Some of these make excellent candidates for s/h culture where they are lushes and like their water.

Pictures, sure. Not too lovely with no blooms but here she is.
She got a good soaking in a bucket of sugar-water with Liquid Seaweed and some B1 added for several hrs. before I repotted. She's a pretty big 'un. Not even sure I'm in love with these blooms, but I couldn't just let it die in the sun at that store.

It has 3 pbulbs and 9 leaves, several of which are pretty badly damaged, but as you can see, a really healthy rootball. Stands about 16" above the pot. I used about 75% sphag and 25% fine bark with perlite and some charcoal.
Thanks all for your help. As usual, you came through.
Best,
Tony

Your plant looks healthy but the pbulbs are dehydated. If your your undecided, give it the best culture possible. This one is a plain jane compared to the ones with more spots and brighter colors. If you belong to an orchid society take it to a meeting and swap/trade with somebody.

Sunshine, I expect to probably try to get it healthy, maybe bloom it once, if I can then see about trading her for another needy case. I like the challange. OR, I may just like it too much to part with it by then. But don't think I'm too big into the 'spider' orchids. There are no orchid societies for 50 miles around here.
Cheers,
Tony
