Double keiki on node?

Currently, I have what looks like two keikis from the same node on a spike on a phal. It (the two "keiki clump") has several roots at least an inch or two long, but I don't know which roots belong to which keiki though. Each keiki has at least two small leaves and the keikis are growing at 90 degrees to each other.

I want to put the keiki clump into a new pot of hydroton (like how the main plant is), but I'm worried if those roots are all to just one keiki.

Can I plant this keiki clump as one unit into a new pot? Will the transfer kill the smaller keiki, or will the two support each other and act as one plant?

I've attached pictures below. The main plant was one of my first orchids, has three sad-looking bottom leaves, two small new leaves, and lots of new roots (I thought it was going to die for a while but it has since proved me wrong and has rebounded in new growths).

The earlier leaves on the keikis are purple/pink because it had too much light from my window a month or so ago.

I guess at this stage you can detach both of them from the spike and pot them together. There are plenty of good roots to support the plants. Do not separate them!

Thanks for the fast reply gabi_borza. Can you clarify what you mean when you said to detach both of them from the spike? I should try and scrape off the keiki clump from the spike they're growing on? Or do I cut the spike they're growing on and plant it with the clump as if it was some kind of root?

I would say cut the spike a tiny ways on each side of the clump and plant it all. That way you do not risk harming the babies.

Yes, Daethen ir right, cut a bit of the spike with the keikies! Do not scrape them off the spike, or you risk damaging them.
