Exclamation Help repotting this Cym!

This plant was recently potted but needs potting correctly.
Is this current pot to large?
There is an empty spot in the center of the root "ball".
My thinking is that I should repot in a slightly smaller pot and fill in that gap with medium maybe like bark or stryo peanuts. Over all the roots are great, it has 3 nice new ones and a new growth.
Hope these pics help...

The pot looks fine.
Not too large, it fits the roots fine. Maybe fill the empty space with styrofoam peanuts to ensure it does not rot.
