Phal roots

So, I have the Phals right where I want 'em, apparently. They sit in a south facing window in my sunroom which is partially blocked by the neighbor's house and trees. No direct sun at all, and I keep a fan going during the day for circulation. They are all sitting on pebble trays, and the humidity ranges from about 50% to 75-78%.

One of them started a subspike (another thread), and one of them is growing roots galore! Check it out!

Great! you found their sweet spot I have been informed that a warm root area promotes root growth and of course the subspike means they want to bloom so you hit it on the head. You made them very happy Keep up the good work

Looking gook!!!!
You know what I did this past year? Don't. You all laugh to hard lol
I bought a compass ! So I know exactly where to place them or where they where placed exactly lol got tired of arguing with family no that's north. No no no! Its north east etc... And I finally got a light meter so now its about shade cloth and light meter and building a shade house and benches. Like "Shann's"

Your Phal looks happy there

I'm right there with you, sister! I fond a compass on the iPhone, and used it to make sure that I had the right exposure, I'm currently trying to figure out how to use my camera as a light meter, hubby's taking me to the nursery tomorrow for shade cloth, and and old neighbor of my mom's builds stuff, so I'm talking to him on Sunday about building me a bench with a canopy - like a mini shadehouse!!
