Yep I agree with sunshine, its a subspike. I have one of my NOID phals, that has been blooming continuously for going on 4 months now because it keeps on putting out these kind of subspikes. I tend to let them just keep going until the spike dies back. I have even had a spike die part of the way back and then start a subspike on the middle before too. Phals I believe just love to be in bloom if the conditions are right.

That would be my guess as well, more flowers I hope mine does it someday, I heard they branch, keep us posted

Sweet!! I never had one before!! I guess I found the spot for the phals, then!! Ooh, and this also means I don't have to sneak new orchids in when my hubby isn't looking cuz technically, this is a rebloom, right? ![]()
