| Worm Tea This is information for those in Malaysia, specifically if you go into KL. I read with interest a post here on worm tea and I managed to get some today from the KL Orchid Garden! The brand is V-COM Super and a 500ml bottle retails for RM9( US$2.60 ). It's concentrated whereby 25 - 35ml goes into 4 litres of water for a once a week usage. I'll be trying it out on my orchids and will see what improvements I get. |

| It's been only a week but the improvements are apparent. The plants are perkier and I feel that they are starting to behave a little like houseplants, which, for orchids is tremendous! |

| There is a long thread on the Newbie section concerning worm tea Worm Tea testing – follow-up - WOW I am a little suprised about the diluation ratio since the company I use is a fifty pass concentrate and the recommended dilution is one ounce (30ml) per quart (liter) not per 4 liters. The other US companies use een less dilution. But I totally agree with the results

| I've known about vermicompost for some time now but it was that thread that got me interested in the "tea" form. Chance favours a prepared mind and therefore found what I wanted. I'm just following instructions on the label as far as dilution is concerned. However, what I find questionable is that they allow the option of mixing with insecticide. Hmmm...... Anyway I'm not into pesticides...etc. I've got a neem plant/tree and I soak the leaves in water for a few days and use the liquid as a mild insecticide. |
