| What do you do in your spare time Dennis? Thanks for all the info, it is printed out and placed in my Orchid folder for future use. Busy little beaver, aren't you ? I wonder if all this info Dennis is posting can go to a specific section on the Forum for members Only to look up? May be another way to get "guests" to sign on. What about it Dave ?

| Anton What do you do in your spare time Dennis? well i am in the process of retiring from woodworking after 27 years of doing that. Currently i am a machinest and put in 55 to 60 hours a week running a metal lathe. when i get home the computer gets kicked on and i hit the forums with this one now being first(4 orchid forums and 2 tractor forums i have three antique ford tractors) i search thru post to soak up any and all information that will help me as well as help others. After reading all the new post i search the internet to read and learn more and hopefully bring back more info to this forum. Of the 4 forums i visit on orchids i prefer this one over the others as i feel the people here (members and moderators) dont act like a bunch of high society stuffed shirts and seem to really wanting to help new members with the basics as well as the more complexed areas to growing these wonderful plants. i have watched my post about my terminal spike get over 100 views without a response, here i got 6 responses on it. there might be some more knowledge on some other sites (not saying that there is) but i do not have to pretend i am a doctor in horticulture or a botanist to get some help to some simple questions here from the members of this forum, i appreciate it very much. so what ever info i can find and bing back is just my way of saying thanks for the help and maybe i can in return do the same for someone else looking for a place to start. i do like to joke around some as in the post about outlawing shows but other than than that, i would like to help this site grow and be one of the top forums out there, with the class of people here i think it is on its way. |
