| digbyana has a reputation of being fragrant but other crosses I have have not developed the scent. I love all digbyana crosses, they do not seem to grow as fast as other cats and that may be the reason for its being less common. Also they seem to flower only once a year while many other hybrids can flower 3-8 times a year. The fringed lip really stands out when the plant is a large specimum plant. That gives you something extra to look forward to as the plant matures.

| I have a beautiful hybrid NOID that looks exactly like the picture when the flower open, but 2-3 days later became more lavender (I think is a light action). No fragance and, yes, very slow (few new leads too). Sue picture is very good and I'm now sure my plant is BC Groganiae. |

| Well, you probably need to look at a lot of other digbyana crosses as well. I don't think there is much in that picture that shows much that is unique to loddigesii. Nice flower with the pink on the petals. Cynthia, Prescott, AZ |

| One week old flowers at picture time. Flowers are almost yellow when they open and became more and more lavender with time (and sun). I think the plant look like Sue´s plant but another clone. Perhaps Cynthia is right, exist too much hybrids, but there are no available images of them and for now BC Groganiae seems a good option. Last edited by hsenrique; 12-19-2006 at 01:57 PM. |

| I think the lavender color is too intense to be from loddigesii. I've seen some very soft pink ones and some very bright pink ones, but never a lavender or a dark color. I think you should edit your picture and take off the name, as it is clearly wrong and you will likely cause others to think it is correct with a creshendo of errors resulting.

I edit the picture becouse colors were darkest than real colors. |
