Question for Psychopsis geeks

How long do you find the bloom lasts on this orchid after opening? I may have posted this question in the wrong thread and got no responses. I am especially interested in hearing from those who grow their psychopsis indoors.

The flowers on mine (I have few), last about 2 weeks or so, but there is a bud forming right behind it........ usually.
Hope it helps.

My Psychopsis Kalihi blooms last about 10 days. It has 4 spikes with a new one developing and three blooms open. Lately I've had trouble with new buds opening before the previous bloom has faded and dropped so I have to cut the older bloom because they get tangled up.

I just looked up your other post. One week I would say is a bit short. When I say that they last about 2 weeks, it's more like 2-3 weeks really. They are about 2 ft from the south facing window in my case. They do like higher light than of Phals and benefit from almost Catts light. I would try to change the light and see what happens. You not going to hurt Psychopsis with higher light....

And I should have mentioned 10 days in prime condition. So, yeah, about 2 weeks before they drop.

Mine lasted about 3 weeks start to finish last bloom. I have a new one that just opened yesterday so I will time it.

I appreciate all the replies. Some might think it lazy of me but I would so much rather learn from other orchid geeks' experience than from the culture sheets. I thank all of the orchid mentors on this site!
