How long do blooms typically last on paphs and psy

Hello orchid growers,

I am curious to know how long a single bloom will last for you on the paphs and psychopsis. The psychopsis (indoors in Ohio East window) lasts for such a short time for me (one to two weeks). Is this normal or could it be due to insufficient light or water?

Lee

I am not sure about Psychopsis but Paphs can be quite variable.

I would think Paphs can stay good generally for 4 to 6 weeks depending on the type.

Paphs, the Maudiae type generally last 4 to 6 weeks, the exhibition or so called Complex types generally 8 to 12 weeks in coolish indoor conditions.
insigne 4 to 8 weeks.
So in general most last a fair amount of time if kept in ideal conditions, coolish and not to dry an air!
Warm to hot and dry air will send them of fairly quick.

Thanks for the replies

I appreciate the replies. This confirms that I may be doing well with my paphs. Now I need to get some info on the psychopsis.
