Help with nobile type den NEEDED!!!!

I got this one from Hawaii couple of weeks ago. He had green lush leaves on the old and the new growths. I think, I watered it ones. He stands right next to the glass of the South Facing window where he gets plenty of light but cold (55-60 night) temps.
He is Den. King's Jewel 'Pink Crystal'.
Leaves started yellowing and falling off on the old growth, and there are few nobbings on the cane....

Should I water it more often because of the new growth or wait till I see blooms and compromise the new growth.....
I just love these dens and really want to learn to grow them..........

G'day Orchidea

Relax, just let it do its thing lol. The buds should be well and truly forming and it should be losing leafs
I do not water at all during Winter, I stop 25 April and start watering and feeding again on 2nd week in September. Now as this is in Australia you would have to do the calculating. I must also add I get plenty of humidity here and am not sure how Co fares. It is probably a bit confused with the change of climates, it is also OK for the cane to yellow a bit but if it starts to shrivel give it a drink.
I hope this allays a few of your fears but I must stress this is how I grow them here.

Cheers
Bernie

Only baby sips, if that, until blooming is over. This is the dry season (monsoon) for nobiles, as Bernie says. They don't expect water.

Also it will be helpful to know that nobile types only hold their leaves for a year or two on each cane then they drop off. It may well be that the leaves on the old cane are naturally dropping off.
