Seasons

Hi,
I'm having some troubles determining the seasons.
Most, if not all English culture sheets describe the watering and fertilizing based upon typical temperate climates, ie four seasons.
My climate consists of the seasons. Jan-Mar (Dry season, 25-33C, little or no rain, humidity 50-60%) Apr-Aug (Hot season,35-43C, frequent thunderstorms, 70-80% humidity, and the rainy season. Sep to Nov/Dec, Daily monsoon rain, 90+% humidity.
My question is when or if do I "winter" my orchids?
When is the rest period?
I have mostly Dendrobiums and Vandas.
Thanks

With a climate like yours I would say there would be very little "REST" season like they get in England
The dry season would seem to be the least interesting season to grow in.

What type of orchids are you trying to grow!

It depends totally on what kind of orchids you're trying to grow. I see you're in Thailand. If you stick to Thai species and hybrids it won't matter.

I didn't mean "local" as much as I meant "native." I bet your vandas will thrive for you. You could probably grow them outside. Dendrobiums come form many different climates, not just tropical. If your dens are native species and hybrids, again I bet they'll be fine.

Thanks. Im sorry I failed to mention. I only grow outside. From what I am seeing in the environment there isnt a real rest period.. As long as there is water things grow at an amazing pace.
