| water in the past two weeks i have converted almost everything into semi hydroponics. i use reverse osmosis water with the msu fertilizer. my only problem is the amount of ro we are now going through. what i want to do is to start collecting the snow/rain water to use for watering.i am going to use a 55 galoon drum (plastic) with a bag for a liner. right now will not pose a problem but in the summer what would i do to keep mosquitoes from hatching in it without polluting the water. on a nothe mote has anyone ever used pond water for orchids we use it on our gardens when we can ps if you ever thought about using sh go for it mine have adapted well and are doing great |

| There are inexpensive mosquito dunks you can buy that will float in a pond or a barrel that will kill mosquito larvae. You can break the dunk into smaller pieces for smaller areas. Perhaps even a quarter of one will do for your barrel. Not sure about the pond water, but I do collect and use rain water on a small scale. |
