Wrong growing conditions

I just found out today that I've been growing my Vandireas in the wrong spot. I was growing them about 4-5 inches from a South window with a sheer curtain. The grower from C&H told me that that was too close.
Yes, they do have vanda parentage, they prefer lighting similar to phals, so I pulled them back to about twelve inches from the window.
Goes to show me that I should do research on orchids before buying them at the drop of a hat.
Hope all of you are well.

Well from the sounds of it Lee sounds like its possibly following its other parentage the Sediera.
Good luck with it Sounds like it willl have beautiful blooms.
