Question Type of lighting for an orchidarium

I'll be constructing my orchidarium soon and was wondering which lighting is best. LED, flourescent or HID? How many will I need for my low to medium light orchids?

I have some woodworking skills, but could use some instructions/suggestions on how to put together the lighting unit so that it 'blends' in nicely with the woodwork.

I would use two or three of the single T5 flourescent tube fixtures sold on the worm's way website. (wormsway.com) they really can't be beat regarding the spectral output and their low heat output...

from what ive learned about lighting is that LED's are more expensive to buy, low heat but cost lower to operate and will not perform as good than hid's.
you might want to check rollitup.org for more information on lighting. its a weed forum but dont underestimate the people there. they have massive amounts of information regarding lighting and its color spectrums associated with all types of lighting.

Update...

I ended up not putting together an orchidarium. Instead, started shopping around for a good size, inexpensive aquarium. I haven't found a place that will sell me just the aquarium. My brother has one not being used. But he wants to keep it. So I'm on the lookout when I have the time.

So instead of orchids you're gonna grow fish?

Arleneq, check out your local aquarium forum, you might even get one for free or for a slight charge!!! My hubby's hobby is fish and I check the website regularly!!!

To clarify a possible confusion...

I'm looking for an aquarium tank to make into an orchidarium (i.e. terrarium) for my mounted orchids.
