Worm Tea

Dear Friends,

Can anybody tell me what are the ratio of NPK in worm tea. Can I use worm tea on my newly planted Phalaenopsis?

Regards,

Mani.

Manni, this worm tea stuff is not a fertilizer and is only a source of Nitrogen (N) at an unknown level, that is why you do not see a NPK ratio on the package.

If you use this stuff how are you going to provide the other 2 essential elements (P & K) that your plants require for good strong healthy growth???

I've never used worm tea on orchids considering I'm just starting out with them. However, I have used it on epicacti and various veggies/ornamentals and they always seem to be a bit stronger when i use worm tea on them. I still fertilize the plants though considering that worm tea only provides a certain benefit and fertilizer supplys the others. I dont exactly know if you are using regular worm tea or aerobic worm tea(brewed with an air pump and molasses) but if its aerobic worm tea, then the microorganisms that feed on the molasses help out
