Lance.. You bring up a good point. I think it is based more on plant genetics more then anything. Reasoning is I have neos that bloom more then once on a fan and continue to grow upright until several inches tall. Others I have bloomed once and then ever since just throw keiki after keiki from the main growth and then they reach maturity...bloom...then start to keiki themselves. One thing I have noticed is my cultivar crossed neos tend to grow much larger and bloom more often then my straight neos. They also produce less keikis. My suggestion just get yourself a couple, they are small, there's always enough room for another orchid! ![]() Troy |

If you are looking to take the cost effective direction...Oak Hill Gardens, Hausermann, and most of your larger vendors sell them. If you want to grow really good quality cultivars then I would suggest hands down...New World Orchids. Glenn probably has some of the best ones around. Troy |

I second the sugestion of NEW WORLD ORCHIDS New World Orchids they have a website with prices and pictures other than that for a good variety of cultivars to choose from Erik Fisher sells some occasionally I think he is at Orchid Web Buy Orchids and Orchid Supplies by orchids limited, and on ebay their is a seller named japaneseorchids whose name is Satomi which several members have bought from as well but the prices are bidding so some of them can get pricey depending on how bad you want and who else does lol. Also regarding the flowering. I have three different varieties, two are blooming size, they bloom from the next leaf up each time, and continue to grow leaves & keikis

My best source I could suggest would be to get in contact with Shigeru Kasahara, owner of Seed Engei...he has some stuff that puts New World Orchids to shame! He can also help you with some other sources. They are many within Japan and China but having a contact person makes life easier. Troy |
