High humidity power turn off

Hi, is it possible to have a control switch or similar item to turn off the power to a humidify when the humidity gets above a set point.
I have installed a humidifier that throws out super fine fog, fine when its hot but if I am away and it becomes cooler. I need to be able to controll it.
Thanks
Ron

Ron, yes they are called humidistat according to one manufacturer. I'm not sure what is available in Australia but here is a link to the type of control I've seen.

Hi Renee, thanks very much for that info. Only other ones I have seen are leaf or mercury switches.
This look great, thanks
Ron

they're also called hygrostats. search for both names, and you should be able to find a variety of options.

Yes you can get them here in Oz Ron, humidistats are quite common gadgets.

I think Dick Smiths has them from memory, if not, just go on line and have a look.
