How cute.....

This is one of my new catts. They all are beautiful, but this one looks somewhat unusual, I think. The lower flower grew upside-down to face the upper one, so it appears as they are kissing....., or talking to each other.....
I got it as a NOID, so maybe someone can tell me how much light this Catt needs, please. Also maybe someone can tell me if this is usual for Catts to do, to grow flowers like this.
P.S. The color came out close to the real one in the picture #1 the most, it's almost green.
Thanks.

Did you just buy it? It's beautiful! But I did notice the psuedobulbs look they are starting to wrinkle up. Picture #3 looks like it might be potted in sphagnum, if it is it might need repotted in a mix that drains better and dries out faster so the roots don't rot. I love the color of it! What a great find!

Awww how cute. Catt's require a good amount of light. right now I have mine in a west facing french door which gets good light with good shading from a tree. during summer they are outside where they get a couple hours of early morning and late afternoon sun. the rest of the day theya re in filtered sunlight. As far as the upside down bloom, I don't know how common it is. I'm sure it happens more often than we'd like.

very cute!
I think most of orchids or at least some of them have the lip developing on the upper part of the bud and while opening it re-orient it self according to light so it will take the correct position with the lip facing down. I think that moving a plant around can cause this to happen but it is very cute this way!

Very pretty. I believe most Catts like bright light and they like to dry out between waterings. I'm not sure about a Catt in spag.

Thank you all,
Yes, I just bought it few days ago. So, I can't take a credit for growing it. Could not pass such a great deal - $9.99. It is not potted in sphagnum but has a little bit of some very odd moss or twigs on top of the old bark mix. It has some new roots and even a new growth that doesn't look too healthy. I was thinking to repot it this weekend but worry I might loose these blooms, so probably going to wait a little and see.

frankly, it could be any kind of Catt. but either way, you found a great deal at less than $10 and the blooms are just wonderful (love the kissing theme )!

my PSBs get shriveled, too, that's a humidity issue. perhaps, if you could increase humidity in your area, you'll have plumper PSBs. sphag seems like a good medium to foster that.
