Thumbs down Repotting after 300mm squat?

I got a Dendrobium speciosum in a 300mm squat pot. Its the largest pot in squat i could find. I was wondering what can i repot it in next? Its due for a repot now.

Regards
Mango

Hi Mango.
Seems you are having fun with the speciosums. One of our members has a native orchid nursery and he has many speciosums in 20inches (500mm) & 25 inches (630MM) some even bigger.
Personally if you can carry or move them if need be the sky would be the limit.
I fellow lady grower has lots of her cymbidiums in 1/2 wine barrells.
They must neary 4 feet across the top.
Long as they are not over potted they will form a lovely speciment.
15 inch pots are my limit, mainly because old age ( my claim)

Good luck
Ron

Hi Mango, just a 300mm pot about 1/2 as deep as an ordinary pot.
Often used for natives and catts.
I just use the standard pots for the large speciosums.
Best of luck
Ron
