Howeara Lava Burst 'Puanani' AM/AOS

I fell in love with this orchid at the last trip to the flower market, but I can not find any cultural sheet or any discription online. I found a few pictures but they all really red, mine is more pink. Does anyone have any idea how to care for this?

I think similar to oncidium culture. Atleast that's how I have been treating it haha. I have a little one with two growths lol. I did have mine outside over the summer and lmartiny had hers growing outside under a dappled shaded area and its in bloom right now, she lives in Florida too.

Oh, thanks. It is very pretty. Is yours red or pink? Mine is full, I mean 100s of tiny pink flowers. Amazing. I will post pictures tomorrow.
I have an Onc. I will hang them together. It is right now on my dining table, making my kitchen lovely.

I haven't the slightest idea lol. amersault bought it at a trader joes in LA earlier in the year and mailed it to me. Once I got it a new growth had just started and it is just now finished plumping up the psuedobulb area, I am hoping for a spike soon if I'm lucky lol. It had previously bloomed but I don't know if it was in bloom when she picked it up or not lol. But now I have had to bring mine back into the house because the cold weather lol

That is a great bloomer and grows well here Mine is given bright indirect light, mounted on a tree fern plaque. Being mounted it gets watered every day.

G'Day Zsophia

Not sure where I got it from but my main collection directory reads as follows
. These plants flower twice per year when grown correctly.
Medium light between what a phalaenopsis and a Cattleya might receive. An east window is ideal or a window with bright diffused light.
It is best to use rainwater, distilled or reverse osmosis water. Municipal water with a pH of 7.5 or lower can also be used. Water as the mix approaches dryness but do not allow the mix to become completely dry between watering, especially during flowering. The pseudo bulbs can be your guide. If the newest bulbs start shrivelling and become noticeably thinner increase the frequency of water.
Over watering can cause several problems such as root rot and infectious bacteria/fungus in the potting medium.
Fertilize every other watering in the summer and every third watering in the winter.
This plant can bloom a couple of times per year whenever new growths mature. Late summer and early spring are the usual routine. The one inch flowers emerge on 10 to 12 inch tall spikes that can branch. One should never cut the spikes until they turn completely brown as they can sometimes put out secondary sprays

This seems to work for me, my flowers are more pink than red and is in bud again.

Cheers
Bernie

My reference says about the same. Med. to bright light; mild to warm temps.; high humidity; keep evenly moist.
Mine could probably use a bit more light. They have not gotten a lot of attention and get watered when everyone else does with the hose or rainfall. I have two and one was pinkish the other redish. But the pink one has battled some funk and had surgery while in spike. I thought it might be stress.
