Statistics on dens

I would like to share a weird fact I have discovered. I have a bunch of rescued dens. As soon as I usually get them I repot them. Some wooden baskets and some clay pots are hanging at the same area with dens.
So I have discovered, the dens, I potted in basket with bark are blooming or they are in spike. The ones they are treated the same way, placed at the same place but are in clay orchid pots are not spiking.
It is very interesting. I am very surprised. If you have similar experience please share with me!

I bet the ones in baskets are getting more air to the roots?

I've currently got one potted and one mounted and both are spiking.

also baskets dry out quicker than clay pots (and clay pots dry quicker than plastic ones)

Dendrobium family is very diverse. I can't give you a proper statistic as some love water. some hate water. I have a Dendrobium Margaret Thatcher which root easily when there is too much water. I have mini Dendrobium (my own cross) which literally soak in wet coconut husk every day 24 hr 7 day a week. I have Dendrobium aggregatum which like water when it is growing. Hate water when you want to bloom it. I also have Dendrobium laisanthera in Sphag moss!. I have Dendrobium laisanthera in charcoal and brick.
