Question Another New Baby-Help!-Paphiopedilum

He did it AGAIN! My husband is back on restriction from E-Bay!! This time the tag says Paph. pinocchio. What little bit of info I have had time to gather tells me this is a Paphiopedilum a/k/a "slipper orchid" and that it appears to be completely different from anything I have raised (read not killed) before. It is therefore important that I get help before an innocent baby orchid dies a horrible death.

As before the plant appears healthy and happy, for now. HELP! Lashelle

This Paph is glaucophyllum X primulinum, neither of which I grow. But it looks like you want to grow this with the Phals, and keep it a little wetter than your Phals. This plant should definitely not dry out. Paphs should be repotted often, once or twice per year. Cynthia

Thanks! That is a lot of help, because I am clueless on this one. It will be interesting to see if I can grow it successfully. I don't shy away from new orchids I just like to look them up first and see if I think I can grow them or not. My husband keeps this up and he will have to convert the patio to an enclosed "orchid room" like I've been wanting him to do! Hey! This might not be so bad after all.

Thanks again for your time!! Lashelle
