I bought a dendrobium last night & the spike broke on the way home. I have read how to cut the spike at the nodule...but is there a way to replant, "save", the budding part that broke off? Thanks for the help!

I think you're out of luck.. It will give strength to the rest of the plant, however- You'll have an even better blooming next time.

You can cut phals at a node and they may rebloom, but not dens. Stick the spike in some water and enjoy it while you can. And enjoy it all the more next time it blooms.
